I’m all for clothes that simplify my life so when I heard that EILEEN FISHER'S new collection was design specifically to make getting dressed easy, I was intrigued. The idea behind the collection is that each of the 8 pieces in the ‘SYSTEM’ is a wardrobe building block. This less is more approach really resonates with me because a few years ago in an effort to simplify my life, I decided to start living in a more minimalist manor. This journey quickly led me to eliminate color from my wardrobe and I learned how to put together outfits with less items. This process of elimination has been a valuable learning experience because it taught me to think critically before bringing new items into my closet (and life) as the goal is to live better with less.
Wearing: System Long Shell Silk Cami + System Slouchy Silk Pant
I can totally see myself layering on top of these items and wearing them well into the spring season. Not only is this collection beautifully designed, Eileen Fisher’s ethics are on point. She’s working toward using more organic fibers that are free of hazardous dyes and wants to ensure a safe and ethical workplace. How refreshing in today’s crazy world? xx
