Happy Sunday beauties! I won this ila clutch on Instagram via one of my favourite fashion bloggers, Maddie from Blackandwhitebrunette.com. I love her black and white style. She's one of those people you feel like you know even though you've never met her.
I love how floppy and textured this foldover clutch is. The crosshatch pattern adds depth to my monochromatic look. It has a great gold zipper and the fabric is soft but strong. I've been carrying it around all weekend and I must say, it's very easy to wear. It tucks perfectly under my arm.
The key to mastering monochrome is to wear different fabrics and patterns. Wearing one color from head to toe makes a statement but sometimes, it's fun to add interest by layering different textures like I did with this look.
I like these leggings because they're a great alternative to my every day black skinnies. They're really hard to get on but once they're on, they're mega comfortable. I'm hoping they won't start to sag and stretch out. I'll do a follow up post if they do.
I'm obsessed with faux fur right now. It adds glam to an otherwise basic look. I've always wanted a real fur vest but I haven't found 'the one' in my price range. To be honest, I'd feel really bad about wearing fur. I watched a video on YouTube about angora (don't watch) and it pretty much ruined my life. I'm not saying I feel bad enough to NEVER wear fur but I definitely wouldn't feel good about it. I wear leather all the time and I'm sure that's just as bad.... For now this faux fur vest will do. Like most women, I'm a total contradiction.
